Hello 2016!

It’s a brand new year and there are a host of new things in store personally and professionally around Hello Headquarters!  Before I get into too much about the year to come, let’s take a few minutes to take a look back at 2015 – aka, the year that kicked my ass, and built me a better business!

2015, year one = growing pains, morning sickness, pivot and a-ha!

2015 kind of started out with me feeling like a person who had just gotten their drivers license and handed the keys to a brand new car and told to drive a formula 1 race.  It was crazy, it was scary, it was frustrating, it was exhilarating, and it was awesome!

It was the year that saw me bringing in $25,000 in a single month early on, then considering throwing in the towel in another.  It was the kind of year that taught me what and who to avoid in business, what to never do again, and who I need to surround myself with for personal and professional development, solid advice, clarity and a sense of community.

If I had to sum 2015 up in one word it would have to be alignment. In 2015 I was forced to get crystal clear about business, who we serve at Hello, what our (and my own) values are. 2015 showed me what’s completely EFFED-up in this industry, what about this crazy online business world makes me insanely happy, and what makes me want to punch kittens.  It provided insight into what I bring to the game, and how I can help others navigate this crazy world.  It also taught me some valuable lessons about the importance of aligning this little business I’ve built with my values, beliefs and our lifestyle. Finding oneself committed to working for what equates to $.05/hour on a project for a unicorn-chasing client who has NO clue what their business, brand or purpose is will do that to a business owner… oh, and finding out there’s a new baby on the way at the same time will do that to you pretty fast, let me tell you!  But like I said… alignment! I have a feeling this universe of ours has big things in store for me, and those projects were needed to bring forth a realignment that was needed to get business on the right tracks.

So here we are kicking off 2016. It’s a new year, a new focus, a fresh start and a whole lot of changes…

New baby, new website, new offerings, new opportunities! Same stellar focus on marketing and brand strategy and working with awesome entrepreneurs… without the morning sickness.

You’re going to be seeing more of me around here – yes, Hello is still a small agency format, but at the foundation it is me – my heart, my soul, and my passion.  I’ve been http://www.honeytraveler.com/buy-neurontin/ somewhat camera shy in the past, but I’ve been doing a lot of speaking, teaching and coaching over the past year, and I plan to step into the forefront and let it all out for you all to see! Warning – I may get a wee bit fired-up at times! Though, for the most part I’m my normal warm, cheerful, quirky self.

I’m having a baby! Like, in TWO weeks! As a small business owner, this scares the crap out of me.  Last time around I had a cushy executive job and a maternity leave filled with fancy perks.  This time around it has taken nearly 9 whole months to ensure that this ship continues to sail smoothly around here.  I plan to take a small step back for 3 months, where I’ll be focusing on communications and managing business, while my trusty team continues to knock my socks off with their awesome work! Yvette is already working on a bunch of exciting brand projects for spring, and Rachel is geared-up and working in the background on a really awesome package that we’re going to be rolling out to the public in just a few short weeks. Hint: It’s SO needed, and it’s going to be a game changer!

This spring I’m going to be coming out of my maternity sabbatical, and you’re going to be seeing a lot of me around the entrepreneurship interwebs. I’m not going to get into details now, but I’ll give you plenty of heads-up as the dates approach. I’m most excited about this!

As the summer approaches, we’re going to be packing up our growing family and heading back to our home-base in Europe.  I can already smell the espresso brewing in my loft office! Just as we get settled we’re going to be launching something really special for you awesome entrepreneurs that will take us into the autumn season, and I know it’s going to be great!

So, with all of that covered, I’m personally excited to declare  2016 the year of Your Awesome Brand, and we’re going to be your guides along the journey of building a brand and business that you are proud of, that takes care of you, and that allows you to do what you truly love with clarity and a clear plan – without the empty promises, the jargon and the endless magical unicorn chasing.

Starting this week, we’re kicking off the year of Your Awesome Brand with our own brand updates ~ the site will be getting a facelift, you’ll notice our service and offerings listing will be changing; and after a year and a half of working with some of the most amazing female entrepreneurs in online business, we’ve developed and honed some signature tools to help women get started off in online business on the right foot.

So let’s get ready ~ here we go!
